OctaFX (Elev8) Deposit Methods: Cards, E-Wallets & Crypto
Every way to fund an OctaFX (now Elev8) account — with the real minimum, which methods are instant, and who charges a fee — from an account we opened ourselves.
OctaFX (now Elev8) accepts bank cards (Visa, Mastercard), e-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, Perfect Money), local bank transfer, and crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT). The practical minimum is from $25, and OctaFX states it does not charge a deposit fee. The one thing to know up front: the exact list of methods you see depends on your country, so the binding options are whatever appears on your own deposit screen.

The short answer
OctaFX groups its funding options into four families: bank cards (Visa, Mastercard), e-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, Perfect Money and various local wallets), bank/wire and local bank transfer, and crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT). That covers most beginners, whether you want a card tap or an on-chain transfer.
Two caveats matter more than the list itself. First, availability varies by country — OctaFX routes deposits through regional providers, so the exact set of methods (and any local bank rails or wallets) changes with where you are. We won't claim a specific local rail works in a specific country, because that's the kind of unverified detail that gets copied around the web and turns out to be wrong. Check your own deposit screen. Second, the practical minimum is from $25, and it too depends on the method you pick. For the full amounts breakdown, see our OctaFX minimum deposit guide.
Every deposit method, compared
Here's the general picture across method families, based on OctaFX's published terms. The speed and fee columns are the broker's own stated positions, not times we independently measured — confirm the live figure and availability in your account before you pay.
| Method | Typical minimum | Speed (per published terms) | Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, Perfect Money) | from $25 | Stated instant | No OctaFX fee* |
| Cards (Visa / Mastercard) | from $25 (varies) | Stated instant | No OctaFX fee; issuer may charge |
| Local bank transfer / QR | from $25 (local-currency equivalent) | Usually minutes; some rails longer | No OctaFX fee; bank may charge |
| Bank / wire transfer | varies (often higher) | Processed within 1–3 hours (Financial Dept. hours) | Bank may charge |
| Crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT) | network-dependent | Stated instant | No OctaFX fee; network fee applies |
*OctaFX states it does not charge a deposit fee and that it covers the fees third parties (like Skrill and Neteller) may apply — but those providers, your card issuer, your bank or a blockchain network can still charge their own costs. Figures reflect OctaFX's published terms at the time of writing and vary by country; your Personal Area shows the binding minimum and the methods available to you. See the broker's deposit & withdrawal guide for the current details.
Cards, e-wallets, local rails & crypto explained
Each family suits a different kind of trader. Here's what to expect from each, and where the honest caveats are.
- Bank cards (Visa, Mastercard). The most familiar option and, per OctaFX's terms, a deposit that credits instantly. Note that some card issuers treat a broker deposit as a cash-like transaction, and currency conversion can apply if your card isn't in the account's base currency (USD; EUR may depend on entity/region) — that charge comes from your bank, not OctaFX.
- E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, Perfect Money). A popular route for forex specifically, because OctaFX lists these as instant and says it covers the fees these providers may apply. If you already keep a balance in one of these wallets, it's often the smoothest path. Various local wallets also appear depending on region.
- Local bank transfer / QR. In many regions OctaFX offers a local-currency bank or QR option, and a local-currency equivalent of the minimum applies (for example, a ZAR-denominated bank transfer is reported for South Africa). Beyond that we won't name specific country rails — the exact local methods on offer vary by country, and you should trust your own deposit screen over any list, including ours.
- Crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT). Useful if you'd rather move funds on-chain. OctaFX lists crypto deposits as instant, but remember the blockchain network fee is separate and set by the network, not the broker — a small point people forget when a transfer costs more than expected.
The deposit screen: how to fund your account
We opened a real account and captured the flow. Once your account is verified, the deposit screen lays out the methods available in your region and the minimum for each — that's the screen that decides what you can actually use.
- Open and verify your account. Sign up, confirm your email and complete KYC (ID and proof of address). Deposits unlock only after verification.
- Go to the Deposit tab in your Personal Area. The list you see is filtered to your country — this is where "availability varies by country" becomes concrete.
- Pick a method and enter the amount. The screen shows the minimum for that method; enter at least that. Starting small is sensible while you're testing the process.
- Confirm and pay. Per OctaFX's terms, card, e-wallet and crypto deposits are instant, while bank transfers are processed within 1–3 hours during its Financial Department's working hours.

Minimums, fees & the 50% bonus
Minimums. The standard minimum deposit is from $25, and it varies by payment method and region. OctaFX notes it recommends around $100 for smoother risk management, but $25 is the floor most account types start from. You'll occasionally see lower figures quoted online — treat those as method- or promo-specific, not a universal floor.
Fees. In its published terms OctaFX states plainly that it does not charge clients any deposit fee, and that it covers the deposit and withdrawal fees that third parties (like Skrill and Neteller) may apply. That's a genuine plus. The honest asterisk: third-party providers, card issuers, banks and crypto networks can still charge their own costs, and currency conversion can apply — none of that is under OctaFX's control.
The 50% bonus. OctaFX markets a 50% deposit bonus that increases your free margin by half the deposited amount. The T&C worth knowing is that the bonus becomes withdrawable only after you complete a required trading volume, and it isn't available in every region (it's restricted in the EU, for example). We won't quote a specific volume target, expiry or cap — those vary and belong to the broker's official promo terms, which you should read before opting in. A bonus is only useful if the volume requirement fits how you actually plan to trade.
Getting funds back out follows the same method families in reverse; small withdrawals are widely reported as fast, while larger ones can draw extra verification. We cover that separately in how to withdraw money from OctaFX.
FAQ
Bottom line
OctaFX (Elev8) covers the deposit methods most traders want — Visa/Mastercard cards, Skrill/Neteller/Perfect Money e-wallets, local bank transfer, and BTC/ETH/USDT crypto — from a $25 practical minimum, with the broker stating card, e-wallet and crypto deposits are instant and that it charges no deposit fee of its own. The two things to keep in mind: the exact methods available depend on your country, and "no OctaFX fee" doesn't stop a card issuer, bank or crypto network from charging you. Log in, open the deposit screen, and use the methods and minimum shown there — those are the only figures that are binding for you. One more reminder that has nothing to do with funding: OctaFX/Elev8 is offshore-regulated, so size your deposit accordingly.
